Watch Moment Aircraft Crashed In Lagos, Nigerians React

A video showing the moment a small aircraft crashed on Oba Akran area of Lagos State going up in flames has surfaced social media.

Naija News reported that the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon close to a branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) and a filing station.

The trending video captured the moment the plane crashed on the road and set ablaze immediately.

The video sparked anxious reactions amongst many Nigerians who prayed that the passengers on the aircraft make it alive.

Meanwhile, chief press secretary of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gboyega Akosile said four persons, including the pilot, were on board the aircraft.

Akosile shared several videos of the crash scene, showing rescue workers at work and tens of residents observing.

According to him, the casualties have been taken alive to an undisclosed hospital.

He also said the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Fire Service are at the scene.

He wrote: “Breaking: A helicopter containing 4 persons including the pilot crash landed in front of the UBA branch in Ikeja.

“All four casualties have been retrieved from the aircraft alive. They have been transferred to hospital for further care. LASEMA, Lagos Fire Service on ground.”
