The Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos state, Gbenga Omotoso, has reacted to the EndSARS victims mass burial allegation.

Naija News recalls that the Lagos State Government had urged members of the public to disregard reports claiming that it was planning to conduct a mass burial for victims of the EndSARS massacre.

The government explained that the burial to be conducted was for unclaimed bodies recovered from different parts of the state.

Reacting to the rumours of the alleged burial, Omotosho insisted that making such allegations can be described as “post-election hallucination.”

The Commissioner stated this on Arise TV while addressing a leaked memo showing the approval of N61 million by the state government for the mass burial of 103 bodies recovered during the October 20, 2020, EndSARS crisis.

In the interview he granted, he said anyone linking the mass burial to the Lekki tollgate is showing signs of post-election hallucination.

He insisted that the state government was not lying over its position that no one died at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, 2020.
