Tinubu, Shettima, Akpabio, Others To Attend Bamidele’s Birthday Event In Abuja

President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and other major politicians in the country will be at the unveiling of books written by the Senate Majority Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.

It is understood that the books titled “Leadership Through Communication (Volumes 1 & 2)” would be launched on Tuesday, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

A statement by his media office on Sunday said the launch of the book is part of activities to mark the 60th birthday of Bamidele, who was a Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to Tinubu when he was a Senator.

According to the statement, President Tinubu and Shettima would be the Father of the Day and Chairman of the occasion, respectively, while Senate President Godswill Akpabio is the Chief host of the event.

The statement added that a professor of political science at the University of Ibadan, Adeyemi Isumonah, wrote the foreword of the books, which centres on issues around Nigeria’s democracy, terrorism and security challenges.

It added that the books are focused on the place of law and order, restoring public confidence in the justice system, the road to self-awareness for the Nigerian youth and the anti-graft fight of the Buhari administration.
