President Tinubu Has No Control Over The Price Of Fuel, May Soon Lose Support - Omokri Warns

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has advised opposition members not to criticise President Bola Tinubu unjustly and unthinkingly.

Omokri said all the Presidential candidates except Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) promised to remove fuel subsidy and provide palliative.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Friday, Omokri claimed that virtually all the flag bearers during the campaign promised to float the Naira, end multiple exchange rates, expand the tax pool, and increase taxes.

The presidential aide asked the opposition members not to criticise Tinubu for policies their presidential candidates also promised to implement.

He asserted that the president will make genuine mistakes, and will be criticised, but he should not be opposed unthinkingly.

He wrote: “All Presidential candidates except Kwankwaso promised to:

Remove fuel subsidy
Provide palliatives
Float the Naira
End multiple exchange rates
Expand the tax pool, and
Increase taxes

“So, if you criticise Tinubu for doing any of the above, why did you support a Presidential candidate that promised to implement the same policies?

“Tinubu will make genuine mistakes, and we will hit him. But let us not oppose him unthinkingly. If he does good for Nigeria, let the s support him.”
