Shehu Sani Predicts What May Happen If Presidential Tribunal Sacks Tinubu

A former Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Naija News recalls President Tinubu on Sunday emerged as the new ECOWAS Chairman.

Tinubu was elected at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), held in Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

The Nigerian leader took over from President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau.

Reacting to the development in a Twitter post on Sunday night, Sani said since Tinubu has emerged as ECOWAS Chairman, the protocol of the community demands that Nigeria should open her borders for the free movement of people and goods.

Senator Sani  remarked that he is waiting to see what President Tinubu will do with Nigeria’s closed land borders in the coming days.

He wrote: “Nigeria’s President is ECOWAS Chairman and ECOWAS Protocol demands that we should open our borders for free movement of people and goods.

We shall see what the Chairman will do with Nigeria’s closed land borders.”
