It's Just A Little Distraction - Ganduje Reacts As Court Sacks Bayelsa APC Guber Candidate, Sylva

The Coalition of Northern Civil Society Group, a good governance and advocacy group, has warned the Kano State government to desist from ridiculing former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje at a politically motivated dialogue it is organizing later today.

Speaking via a press release statement issued in Kano, the group secretary, Muhammad Lawan Shuaibu claimed that those against Ganduje were trying to soil his image to prevent him from securing any appointment from President Bola Tinubu.

It stated that the dialogue, which is being put in place by the Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission (PCACC), Barr Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, is not open to other CSOs but hand picked participants from friends and associates of the commission’s chair.

Shuaibu argued that the action of Muhuyi and the state owned commission is purely vindictive, malicious, malevolent and politically motivated.

As a Barrister, Muhuyi must understand that he can’t preempt what is already in the courts. He must also be reminded, he risks the contempt of court,” he said.

Speaking further, he noted argued that the entire shenanigans Muhuyi is organizing with some of the CSOs in Kano is politically motivated.

The release said the renewed attacks by both Muhuyi and the commission are a well-crafted ploy to rubbish Ganduje and pitch him against President Tinubu in order to undermine his chances of getting any position in his administration.

It is obvious, Muhuyi and his band of destructive agents are unhappy on the cordial relationship between the duo,” the statement added.
