Ogun Governor, Abiodun Visits Buhari In Aso Rock [Photos]

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, on Tuesday, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

During the visit, Governor Abiodun presented his Certificate of Return to Buhari, weeks after winning the Ogun governorship election held on March 18, 2023.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, was also present during the visit.

Recall that Abiodun, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was declared the winner of the Ogun governorship election.

The Independent Electoral Commission Returning Officer in Ogun State, Professor Kayode Adebowale, announced this on Sunday at the state collation center in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Adebowale disclosed that Abiodun won the election with a total of 276 298 votes to defeat his closest rival, Oladipupo Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 262383.

He added that the APC candidate won with 10,000 votes to emerge victorious in the keenly-contested exercise.
