Oshiomhole Defends Buhari, Says Some People Just Decide To Be Toxic To Government

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to the former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, who turned 71 this Tuesday.

The nation’s leader praised Oshiomhole for advocating reforms and standing in for the welfare of the people.

He subsequently commended the former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for his loyalty and commitment to development and democracy, championing the cause of workers for eight years as President of the Nigerian Labor Congress (NLC) before joining politics.

This was disclosed in a statement by Femi Adesina, Buhari’s Spokesman.

“As Oshiomhole clocks 71, Buhari believes “Nigeria owes the former NLC president a debt of gratitude” for always drawing attention to the plight of workers and fighting to ensure that policies reflect the reality of those on the last rung of the economic and political ladder.

President Buhari prays for the well-being of Oshiomole and his family”, the statement reads.
