'Let Me Remind You' - Shehu Sani Reacts As Buhari Console Victims Of Lagos Train-BRT Accident

Former Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari, condolence message to victims of the tragic accident in Lagos State which involved a moving train and a state government BRT staff bus.

Naija News reported earlier that many people died with several others injured after a train and BRT bus loaded with passengers collided at Adekunle Fajuyi way in the Ikeja area of Lagos.

Reacting, President Buhari, in a statement issued through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, described the accident as distressing and extremely sad.

The Nigerian leader prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and the quick recovery of those injured in the accident. Buhari also commended the Lagos State authorities and Federal Government agencies for promptly getting involved in relief work.

“The accident at the level crossing involving the train and the BRT staff bus is distressing and extremely sad. I pray for the souls of the deceased and quick recovery of the many who were injured,” he said in the statement.

Senator Sani has, however, reminded the Nigerian leader of a similar incident in Abuja, tasking him to also reach out to the family of the victim.

“I want to remind you of the woman who was also killed by the Train in Abuja,a staff of NTA and her name is Hajia Selimota Idowu Suleiman.Pls try and visit her family,” Sani tweeted on Friday morning.
