The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has defeated the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party in Niger State.

The former Lagos Governor was declared the winner of Saturday’s presidential election conducted in Niger State after he polled 375,183 votes.

Former Vice President Atiku scored 284,898 votes, while Obi polled 80,452 votes and failed to get the required constitutional 25%.

There were 2,698,344 registered voters,  according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, while 827,416 were accredited.

There were 778668 valid votes, while 34687 were rejected.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election conducted in Rivers State held last Saturday.

Tinubu won the keenly contested election in Rivers after results from Governor Nyesom Wike‘s local council, Obio Akpor Local Government Area (LGA), came in.

The APC presidential candidate won Obio Akpor LGA with 80,239 votes, while the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, scored 3,829 votes, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 368 votes.
