#NigeriaDecides: Collation Of Presidential Election Results Commences In Abuja 

The collation of the presidential election results of Saturday’s presidential election is set to commence at the Abuja International Convention Center this evening.

State Collation Officers, who are mostly Vice Chancellors of Federal Universities, will deliver the election results for collation to Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the Chief Collation Officer, and INEC Chairman.

The National Commissioner for Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, claimed that the collation would start at 1 PM on Sunday, contrary to Yakubu’s claim that the National Collation Center would open from 12 pm.

Okoye said the commencement of the collation had to be delayed because the Commission needs to take a few actions before the exercise starts.

At the time of this report, the collation center was opened and some INEC officials were already at the event to commence the collation.

Also, media outfits, some party agents, observers, and other officials were on the ground for the commencement of the collation.
