#NigeriaDecides2023: INEC Should Extend Voting Time – Tambuwal

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to extend the voting time to enable more people to vote.

Speaking after casting his vote on Saturday, Tambuwal expressed concern over the delay in the arrival of INEC officials and materials at some polling units in the state.

The governor urged the electoral body to extend the voting time and ensure eligible voters who are on the queue were not disenfranchised.

Tambuwal added that there were security lapses due to inadequate arrangements at some polling units.

He said: “Security agents are overwhelmed in some areas.”
