Some alleged supporters of the Labour Party (LP) have strategized a counter-attack on members of the opposition parties ahead of a campaign rally.

The political group alleged to be member of the LP were heard, in a leaked audio record from a Twitter space, planning how to mobilize guns and bullets to defend themselves at a campaign rally at an undisclosed location.

One of the persons on the space could be heard saying there are enough ‘machines, groundnut’ (referring to gun and bullets). Another is also heard charging them not to disclose their entire plans to the public.

It could be recalled that supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, were on Saturday attacked, beaten and harassed on their way to their campaign rally in Lagos.

Naija News reports the supporters took to major roads in the city to march in support of the former Anambra governor following the presidential rally scheduled to hold at the Tafewa Belawa Square in Lagos.

Obi’s supporters were assembled at different locations in the cities before heading out in accord to the stadium for the campaign rally.

However, viral videos that surfaced on social media captured some supporters donning the Labour party attire who were harassed and beaten by thugs with their vehicles destroyed in the process.

Some of the supporters had their clothing torn to shreds, while others sustained various degrees of injuries during the incident.
