Peter Obi: It Is Safe To Congratulate Tinubu – Bashir Rejoices After LP Lagos Rally

Former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad has sent a congratulatory message to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu after the Labour Party (LP) presidential rally in Lagos.

Naija News reports that a mammoth crowd had turned up at the rally to show their support for the LP’s flag bearer, Peter Obi.

The LP flag bearer and his supporters embarked on a road walk from the Lekki-Epe expressway to the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

The rally had reportedly resulted in a traffic gridlock along the Lekki-Epe expressway.

However, despite the belief by many that the rally was a huge success, Bashir opined that the LP supporters could have done better.

He insisted that the turnout was not enough to guarantee Obi’s victory in Lagos State.

The APC stalwart argued that it was time to congratulate Tinubu as the rally had indicated that Peter Obi does not stand a chance in the upcoming election.

He tweeted, “If that’s all the Labour Party could get in Lagos with over 6,000,000+ votes, then it’s very safe to congratulate our candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
