President Tinubu Gives Wike Approval For Emergency Procurement To Fight Insecurity In The FCT

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has endorsed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a post via his Facebook page on Tuesday, Fayose said the Rivers governor is working for Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.

The Labour Party (LP) supporter alleged that Tinubu is playing a victim in the South West, and unfortunately, it’s working in his favour.

He, however, called on the LP and Peter Obi support groups to canvass for more votes in the South-South, Middle Belt, and some states with high voting populations.

He wrote: “It’s almost election day. Labour Party (LP) and support groups for Peter Obi need to consolidate in SS, MB (Especially Plateau, Benue), Ondo, Lagos, Kaduna, and Taraba. These are the strong regions to get high numbers.

“The SE needs to show its hands massively.

“For SS: Wike is working for BAT, there is heavy propaganda going on in Akwa Ibom, Okowa is ready for war in Delta, Bayelsa needs a structure to convert, Edo is certain.

“BAT is playing a victim in the SW, and unfortunately, it’s working.”

Naija News reports that Wike has been at loggerheads with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after losing the party’s presidential ticket to former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

The Rivers governor and four other PDP governors also withdrew from the PDP Presidential Campaign Council and called for the removal of the PDP’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.

Wike and the G-5 governors said the party can’t have the North produce the party’s national chairman and presidential candidate.

They stressed that a Southerner should be allowed to produce the party’s national chairman for the sake of balance and equity.
