2023: Tinubu To Kick Off Presidential Campaign In Kwara

A charge has gone out to the newly inaugurated Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), in Osun State, to intensify their efforts towards the victory of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

The charge, as gathered by Naija News, was given by the immediate past Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, who happens to be the state Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign council.

Oyetola noted that Tinubu’s victory at the forthcoming polls is important because Nigeria urgently needs a competent individual like the former Lagos Stae governor to build on the gains of the incumbent administration as well as drive the nation’s potential for socioeconomic growth and development.

For that reason, Oyetola submitted that work needs to be intensified to ensure Osun deliver over a million votes for Tinubu and his running mate Kashim Shettima at the polls.

The former Osun governor boasted that the APC has offered the best candidate to turn around Nigeria’s fortunes.

He advanced that there is no room for experimentation on the choice of Nigeria’s next president at this critical time, therefore, it is important Tinubu is elected because he has a good political pedigree, with responsible and responsive governance antecedents.

Naija News reports that also speaking at the function was the Speaker of the Osun House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye, who expressed confidence in God that Oyetola would be victorious and return as Osun governor, while Tinubu would also be victorious as the next president of Nigeria.

He said, “In 2019, the Supreme Court gave its final verdict on July 5, affirming the victory of Oyetola as governor. If you know them, go and tell them that before July 5, 2023, Oyetola will be returned as Osun Governor.

“They thought they could manipulate the results of the election in their favour, but we thank God that the results of the Bimodal Voter’s Accreditation System exposed them. The defeat suffered by the All Progressives Congress in the July 16 Osun governorship poll was a temporary setback.”
