The PUNCH: The five aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party governors have met with the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu in London, the United Kingdom. The APC standard bearer was said to have lobbied for the endorsement of the five governors during the marathon meeting which was held on Tuesday.

This Day: The Senate and House of Representatives, yesterday, passed the 2023 appropriation bill after raising the N20.51 trillion proposed spending presented by President Muhammadu Buhari by N1.32 trillion, to N21.82 trillion.


The Nation: Aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors yesterday foreclosed any support for the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in next year’s election. The governor – Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Sam Ortom (Benue) – also rejected peace overtures from Southsouth leaders, who appealed to them to retrace their steps.


Daily Trust: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has begun the sales of 160 houses and lands worth billions of naira spread across highbrow areas in Lagos, Abuja and 14 other states. Prospective buyers including those occupying the listed buildings that have no case with EFCC and have not been convicted can bid for any of the property until January 9, 2023, when the auction closes, the anti-graft agency said.
