Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday, met the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Osinbajo also met with the Vice President, Madam Vo Thi Anh Xuan; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, other government officials, and the business community.

The visit to Vietnam will make Osinbajo the second high-ranking Nigerian government official to visit the country after President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Naija News recalls that the Vice President had departed Abuja on Saturday to hold high-level bilateral engagements with Vietnam’s government officials.

In a statement by Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo will oversee the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Agreements between Nigeria and Vietnam.

He will also hold high-level diplomatic discussions with his Vietnamese counterpart and other important issues on trade, commerce, agriculture, technology, and innovation.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) will also participate in a Business Forum at the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce aimed at matchmaking entrepreneurs from both countries.

2023: ‘What Osun Residents Told Me About APC’ – Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed details of his meeting with residents of Osun State after his campaign rally.

Naija News reports that Atiku, earlier on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, had a meeting with residents of Osun, before the party’s presidential campaign rally which was held at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo.

In a series of posts shared on Twitter, Atiku said the religious and community leaders, students, and traders agreed that the administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed.

He noted that they also expressed hope in the acceptance of PDP’s mission to recover Nigeria.

According to Atiku, he assured Osun residents that PDP is the only party with credible achievements that can secure the lives of Nigerians, end hunger and reduce poverty.
