Several vehicles were vandalised during the attack which the PDP Presidential campaign spokesperson, Senator Dino Melaye, blamed on the APC

The Guardian: The Federal Government is pitching a possible monetisation of select national assets to partly fund the gapping deficit stuffed into the proposed 2023 appropriation, but early signs coming from ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) relevant to achieving the plan suggest the process is heading the way of previous similar experimentations. This Day: The Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mr. Mele Kyari yesterday said he has received several death threats from people who are not happy with efforts being made by the federal government to ensure increased transparency, accountability as well as an end to crude oil theft which has seen country recording severe revenue losses.

The Nation: PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari yesterday explained why the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in next year’s poll, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will win. He said the standard bearer is running on record as a two-term governor between 1999 and 2007, whose achievements are verifiable.

Daily Trust: Controversy yesterday trailed the reported attack on the convoy of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, during a campaign visit to the state. While the campaign council of the former vice president insisted that the convoy was attacked during the rally, the Borno State Police Command and the state government have faulted the claims, insisting that the event was held peacefully. The police, however, said it has arrested one thug with a stone. Atiku was in Maiduguri in continuation of his campaign for the February 25 presidential election.
