Atiku Campaign Coordinator Dies In FCT

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign coordinator in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Danladi Etsu Zhin, has reportedly died.

The deceased was a former chairman of Kuje Area Council, Naija News understands. Reports made available to newsmen revealed that the politician died after a brief illness.

Confirming the unpleasant development to newsmen in Abuja yesterday, a close aide to the deceased, who identified himself as Godwin Omonya, said Zhin died at a private hospital on Sunday morning.

Omonya, who was also the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the ex-chairman, told reporters that his principal had been hospitalised for over a month due to an undisclosed ailment.

He said that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at a hospital morgue in Abuja by the family members.

Naija News understands that the deceased was a House of Representatives aspirant for the Abuja South constituency under the platform of APC in the 2019 general elections.

He also served two terms as the chairman of the Kuje area council and was married to Paulina Etsu Zhin, with whom they had three boys and two girls.

Until his unfortunate departure from the earth, he was the FCT PDP Coordinator for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign for the 2023 general election.
