Police Reacts After Lecturer Joins Force With His Family To Brutalise 20-Year-Old

The Police command in Lafia, Nasarawa State has arrested a senior lecturer in the department of History and International Studies at the Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA), Dr Fred Ekpe Ayokhai, over the treatment melted at a young girl.

Naija News reports that the lecturer was on Friday, October 21, 2022, captured flogging the 20-year-old girl who allegedly beat his daughter over a man.

The victim identifies as Blessing Mathias, confronted Ayokhai’s daughter, Emmanuella Onawegie, for trying to snatch her boyfriend, identified as IG.

Blessing had discovered Emmanuella has been engaging in a private conversation with her boyfriend and demanded that the number should be deleted from her phone but the latter refused, which led to a fight.

In the video making the rounds online, Emmanuella was seen alongside her father Ekpe Ayokhai, and other family members mercilessly beating Blessing in her home before she was forced into their car.

They later drove into an unknown forest where the senior lecturer used a pair of scissors to tear her dress from her body as the lady cried profusely begging him.

The video sparked an outrage with many Nigerians on social media demanding Justice.

Reacting to the incident, the police noted that two suspects involved in the incident have been arrested.

They also added that an investigation into the case has commenced.

The statement reads: “Sequel to the viral tweet of assault on a female teenager in Lafia, Nasarawa state, the Command swiftly commenced an investigation into the case.

“It is gratifying to state that, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the case while

“Effort is ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects still at large.”
