List Of Aggrieved Northern APC Christian Leaders Opposed To Peter Obi's Candidacy

The spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, Kola Ologbondiyan, has said the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, belongs to the ruling class.

Recall that Ologbondiyan was recently appointed as one of the spokesmen of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, for the 2023 elections.

During an appearance on a Channels Television programme, Sunrise Daily, on Wednesday, Ologbondiyan said the former Governor of Anambra State is not a new face in the political scene.

The former PDP National Spokesman stated that Obi has been a governor for eight years and has been part of the process of the administration of the country.

Ologbondiyan said Obi cannot be described as a third force because he is part and parcel of the main opposition party, stressing that he only walked away from the party over a disagreement.

He said: “Peter Obi is part and parcel of the establishment party, he only took a walk over a disagreement.

“He is not a new face, for anybody to say this is a new face, I don’t understand it. Because he is part of the process, he’s been governor for eight years.

“He has left a political party for another before he left for this.”

Naija News recalls that Obi dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the PDP in October 2014, citing the need to be part of the National government.

The former Anambra governor was then chosen as the PDP vice presidential candidate in the 2019 elections before he left for the LP in 2022.
