The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has reacted to the crowd that welcomed the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu to Ogun State.

Naija News reports that the presidential candidate earlier on Wednesday paid a visit to the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, as part of his consultation ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Upon his arrival, a large crowd of supporters stormed Obasanjo’s penthouse residence displaying various placards, while singing songs to welcome him.

Reacting to this, Keyamo in a post shared on Twitter said the crowd that welcomed Tinubu was an indication of what to expect in 2023.

The spokesman of the APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council said the crowd are real voters and their votes will count in 2023.

Keyamo wrote: “These are real people for @officialABAT; they are the real voters; the demography is shaping up; these people will vote in 2023 and their votes will count!”

Tinubu Sends Message To Obasanjo

Tinubu in the short statement on Wednesday evening expressed appreciation to Obasanjo, the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun as well as the entire people of the state for a warm welcome.

After the visit, Tinubu took to his Twitter account where he shared a note of appreciation as well as pictures from the meeting.

He wrote: “My gratitude to former President Obasanjo, Governor Dapo Abiodun and the great people of Ogun State for the fantastic welcome.

“Thank you.”
