Tinubu, Lawan, Governors, Other Dignitaries Storm Borno For Shettima’s Daughter’s Wedding (Photos)

Maiduguri, the Borno State capital was a bee hive of activities on Saturday, 30th July as it played host to several politicians, top government officials, traditional rulers and other dignitaries who came to witness the wedding of Senator Kashim Shettima’s daughter.

Shettima is a former Governor of Borno State and also the 2023 vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports the wedding ceremony took place at the palace of the Shehu of Borno, His Eminence, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai Umar El Kanemi.

The Groom is Sadiq Ibrahim Bunu, while the bride is Fatima Kashim Shettima.

Among the dignitaries at the event were the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari who represented Buhari, the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, the National Security Adviser, General Babagana Monguno (Rtd).

Others are the Inspector-General of Police, Baba Usman Alkali, the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, former APC National Chairman and former Governor of Edo state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.

Also in attendance were Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, APC Deputy National Chairman Senator Abubakar Kyari, Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru.

Others are business moguls, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Alhaji Mohammed Idimi, and Alhaji Dahiru Mangal.

Several traditional rulers, National Assembly members, State Assembly members, security chiefs, diplomats and several others attended the wedding which was held amidst tight security.

A former Governor of Bauchi State and former PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu stood in as the father of the groom, Architect Ibrahim Bunu while Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Zulum stood in as the father of the bride, Senator Shettima.

A dowry of 12 gold coins was paid at the wedding fathia conducted by the Chief Imam of Borno, Shiekh Shettima Mamman Sale.
