Aso Rock Cabals Influencing Buhari’s Decisions – Ex-Minister

Elder Statesman and First Republic Aviation Minister, Mbazulike Amechi, on Thursday, claimed that the decisions of President Muhammadu Buhari-led government are influenced by cabals in Aso Rock.

Amechi noted that letters forwarded to President Buhari on the state of things in the country were not delivered to the president.

The former minister stated this while speaking in his residence in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He further stated that when he met with President Buhari alongside Igbo elders calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the president directed them to put their request into writing.

Amechi said after sending the letter to the president, nothing was heard about it to date.

He lamented that the president who had earlier agreed to consider their request might have been influenced by cabals.

The elder statesman pointed to a time he wrote a letter to the president, only for Buhari to admit while in contact with somebody in Paris that he did not see the letter.

Amechi said, “The people around the President are not allowing him to make rightful decisions and that is why the country is in a bad shape at the moment, but God is raising a new generation of leaders.

“As I lie down in my bed, meditating and navigating the quiet sea of 94 years, tears rolled down my cheeks that my President, a man who has so much regard and respect for me will be diverted not to trust me and grant me the one single request which I made in my capacity as about the only surviving co-founder of this great country, which is the release of Kanu.”
