The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has disclosed that all occupants trapped in the SUV that was swept away by flood in the Oko Oba area of Lagos State, on Saturday, July 8th, are in safe condition.

This comes after it was reported by various media platforms that all the occupants trapped in the white SUV died in the flood despite the efforts by the residents of the area to save them.

Reacting to the development, the director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue service, Margaret Adeseye, in a statement on Twitter, debunked the information.

Margaret said that all three male occupants are in safe conditions, with the damaged car recovered by the service.

“However, it was rescued by the Agege Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service with all three adults male occupants in safe conditions.”
