Pray For Tinubu Government, Nigeria Will Get Better - Femi Adesina

The presidency has said that no life was lost in the attack on the advance convoy of President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday evening.

Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, stated this while briefing State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.

Naija News earlier reported that terrorists attacked the President’s advance team convoy near Dutsinma, Katsina State ahead of President Buhari’s trip to Daura for Sallah.

Adesina revealed that two persons, a protocol officer and another lady, sustained injuries during the attack, adding that the wounds were not life-threatening.

The presidential spokesman added that the injured persons were taken to an Orthopaedic hospital in Katsina and are currently receiving treatment.

Adesina disclosed that the President would not cancel his trip to Dakar in spite of the attack and the government would not give in to the terrorists.

He said President Buhari would join other Heads of State and Presidents for the global conference which is an international obligation before proceeding to his home town in Daura.

He also called on Nigerians not to concede to terrorists despite the various terror attacks recorded in the country in the last 24 hours.

The President should go (to Senegal) because there’s an International Conference meant for heads of states and presidents; he should attend. You should never give in to terrorists.

“The moment terrorists begin to stop you from doing things, then we might as well throw up our hands in surrender. The President should go ahead. Yes, it’s an international obligation.” Adesina said.
