A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Shehu Sani, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari over his frequent international trips.

Naija News recalls that Buhari recently travelled to Dubai, Spain, and is expected to attend the African Union summit in Ghana.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, Senator Sani said Buhari often travels abroad whenever there is a problem in the country.

According to Shehu Sani, Buhari travels abroad and return to meet the problem he left resolved.

The former lawmaker, however, did not disclose the unsolved issue that awaits Buhari.

He tweeted: “Whenever there’s a problem, the President is used to travelling only to come back and meet it solved.

“This one, he went to Dubai, Spain and now Ghana and yet the problem is still waiting for him to solve.”

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu has said sensitive election materials will no longer be kept at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Naija News reports that Yakubu stated this on Saturday at an election dialogue, ‘The Electorate’, organised by Enough is Enough (EiE).

While revealing that materials will no longer be “routed” through the CBN, the INEC chairman said the electoral body has never had an issue with the CBN since the partnership started.

He, however, stated that due to “current circumstances”, an alternative will be found.
