Pandemonium As House Of Reps Primaries Turn Bloody In Igando

Four people have been reportedly killed after the All Progressives Congress primary election for House of Representatives and house of assembly turned bloody in the Igando area of Lagos state.

Naija News reports that the incident occurred on Friday, May 27, at Igando-Ikotun and Mosan-Okunola council secretariat which was the venue for the primary election.

In video that surfaced on social media captured moment thugs who wielded weapons were seen facing each other before security operatives showed up to restore calm.

Two of those killed have been identified as Surry Boxer and Ogunlaye.

Meanwhile, a female aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State, Na’anyil Magdalene Dakogol was abducted on the day the party was to conduct the primaries.

Dakogol before her abduction was eyeing the ticket of the APC for the Qur’an Pan South State Constituency of Plateau in the 2023 general elections.

The development was confirmed by the spokesman of the Plateau Police Command, Ubah Gabriel.

According to Gabriel, the commissioner of police in the state has sent a tactical team to rescue the victim.

The aspirant was on her way to meet with delegates of the party ahead of the primaries scheduled for Kwalla town of Qur’an Pan LGA of the state when she was abducted.
