Their dethronement which was announced on Wednesday, April 27, however, follows after the committees submitted their reports to the government.

The State Commissioner of Information, Hon. Ibrahim Magaji Dosara and his counterpart, the state Commissioner of Security and Internal Affairs, Hon Mammam Tsafe, disclosed this in Gusau, the state capital today, Naija News understands.

Speaking after the State’s council meeting at the Government House earlier today, the commissioners told reporters that the government has approved the revocation of lands allocated to non-indigines of Zamfara State.

It was said that the lands were being occupied illegally by the occupants without going through due process.

The government officials further revealed that approval has been obtained for the immediate dethronement of the three traditional leaders accused of involvement in banditry activities.

We decided after careful examination of the reports submitted by the two committees to the State government,” they said.
