JUST IN: Buhari Summons Service Chiefs Over Kuje Prison Attack

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday held a meeting with the nation’s service chiefs, heads of security agencies, and some Ministers.

The meeting which held at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja also had in attendance the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation; Boss Mustapha; and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Naija News reports.

Also present at the meeting were the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd.), Ministers of Defence Bashir Magashi; Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; and Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao are also in attendance.

The Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor was however represented at the meeting.

Others present include the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman; the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.

As at the time of filing this report, the meeting was still in progress and the details of the discussion had not been made public.
