Lagos APC GAC Backs Sanwo-Olu For Second Term

Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) on Monday threw its weight behind the second term bid of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Naija News reports that this was made known on Twitter by Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.

He stated that the Lagos governor was also given pass mark for staying through to the developmental agenda of Lagos.

According to Akosile, the decision to back Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid was taken at a meeting in Lagos on Monday.

He tweeted, “Breaking news: Lagos GAC gives nod to Governor @jidesanwoolu’s second term bid. The Governance Advisory Council at a meeting in Lagos today gave pass mark to Sanwo-Olu for staying through to the developmental agenda of Lagos. Congratulations dear boss!”

Police React To Chrisland School Scandal In Dubai

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command says it has opened an investigation into the case involving some pupils of Chrisland school who got into some s3xual escapades while at a programme in Dubai.

The video of what transpired between some of the pupils went viral on social media and the Lagos Police said it has commenced an investigation into the matter.

The Police statement on Monday which was signed by Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said if needed, the services of Interpol may be brought in to solve the matter.

He added that relevant ministries, departments, agencies, and non-governmental organizations would also be involved to ensure there is no miscarriage of justice.

The reaction follows the case of immoral act linked with students of Chrisland school during the World School Games held in Dubai between March 10-13, 2022.
