Vice President and presidential aspirant, Yemi Osinbajo have received backlash after an old photo of him fueling cars surfaced on social media days after his declaration to run for the presidency in next year’s elections.

Recall that the vice president on Monday addressed Nigerians on his decision to run for the office of the President in 2023.

He made this known via his Twitter handle, where he stated that his decision to join the presidential race is to contribute his quota to the development of the country.

Days thereafter, old photos of the vice president, fueling cars surfaced on the internet stirring heavily criticizing from Nigerians.

In the photos, Osinbajo was captured in a petrol station with his aides fueling a car at the cheers of both his aides and workers at the station.

Reacting to the photos, Nigerians who were seemingly not impressed by the gesture condemned the act, saying politicians acts like the average Nigerian only when elections are lurking around the corners.

They however failed to realise that the photos had emerged years back when Osinbajo was in Lagos during a festive holiday.

One ygowon wrote; ‘‘See how they are laughing at him because it’s unusual. Fake politicians.

Nigeria needs one who is not pretending only when it is during election time”

One seunmsg wrote; “If Peter Obi Pandora can queue up for a commercial flight, Osinbajo can also form fuel attendant. The game is the game and faking it is part of it cool”

One greatiyk4uwrote; “This style is outdated. He should try something new

One TheRareGem1 wrote; “If it is that one, there are turns of pictures of the PYO in the public domain where he resonates with children, elderly people and others and he’s the only one that does it with consistency. He has been in different places, as in local areas, during the family chats and all.

You people will have to work very very hard to smear this man because he is always 100 steps ahead of you.”

One phorget wrote; “That is good for our incoming presido, some people would wait until election period before doing their antics.”

One Camelot65 wrote; “Tomorrow, Amaechi might buy minimi chinchin or even fry akara by the roadside. It always gets funnier with these politicians.”
