Voter Suppression, Ethnoreligious Bigotry Should Be Condemned - Osinbajo

Vice President and presidential hopeful, Yemi Osinbajo has promised to build on the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari if elected in 2023.

Osinbajo made this known through his spokesman, Laolu Akande, in an interview on Arise News Night on Monday in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Recall that the vice president had declared his intention to join the 2023 presidential race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Akande, the vice president will build on the gains recorded by the Muhammadu Buhari-led government in the areas of infrastructure, ease of doing business and security.

He added that Osinbajo’s presidential ambition is solely to consolidate the gains made by the current administration in the past seven years.

He said: “The Buhari administration has achieved so much in terms of infrastructure development, ease of doing business and this is what Professor Yemi Osinbajo wants to continue.

Meanwhile, the national leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reacted to Osinbajo’s declaration of his interest in the 2023 presidential ticket.

The former Lagos governor gave the reaction while speaking with reporters after a meeting with APC governors on Monday evening.

When asked to react to his ‘son’ declaration, the former Lagos governor replied “I have no son grown enough to declare”.
