President Muhammadu Buhari has advised Goodluck Jonathan after his recent accident which occurred in Abuja.

Recall that the former president had gotten into an accident near the Abuja airport, narrowly escaping death.

However, two of his aides had died from the unfortunate incident.

Buhari sent his condolence on Friday to Jonathan through Femi Adesina, his Media Aide.

The president said he joined other Nigerians to pray for the repose of the deceased.

He urged the families to take heart and consider the demise of their love ones as a sacrifice to the country.

Buhari subsequently advised his predecessor not to get distracted from his peace keeping missions despite the accident, urging him to stay on course

β€œLet me express gratitude to Almighty God for having President Jonathan escape unhurt from the accident, but not to be distracted from his frequent local and international travels which are linked to peacebuilding at home and abroad,” Buhari said in his condolence message.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday signed four Bills into law recently passed by the National Assembly.

Naija News reports that this was made known in a statement by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity.

He revealed that Hon. Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Buhari on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives), was at the State House for the signing of the bills. Read more
