APC Convention: Man Caught With Weapons, Charms

Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested a man caught with dangerous weapons and charms, after beating several security checks at the ongoing National Convention of the All Progressives Congress at Eagles Square, Abuja

The force also made some seizure of weapons from thugs imported to the venue.

According to reports, the thugs ranging over 200 were arrested at the venue, as some were taken to the station in police van.

The man with charms and knives, among other dangerous weapons, was whisked away by the police.

Meanwhile, security agents had been on their toes in maintaining order at the on-going All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention.

This is after some delegates and touts were seen earlier trying to force their way into the Eagle Square Abuja venue of the APC convention with security agents struggling to contain the situation.

The development led to the Police having to fire tear gas and tasers to bring the situation which was fast degenerating into a stampede under control.

Although, the Police recovered from the incident and regained control of the gate for normal accreditation to continue.

The event kicked off by 3.30 pm.
