Breaking: Court Grants Abba Kyari Bail

Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has hailed the planned extradition of the former commander of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari, to the United States.

Naija News had earlier reported that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, had filed an application before the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja for Kyari’s extradition.

The application marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/249/2022 was filed under the Extradition Act.

Malami noted that the application was filed before the court following a request by the Diplomatic Representative of the U.S. Embassy in Abuja.

The extradition request of the suspended deputy commissioner of police is connected to his indictment in the $1.1million fraud perpetrated by confessed internet fraudster, Abass Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi and four others.

In a post via his Twitter page on Thursday, Ekpa stated that the embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police may not return to Nigeria if extradited to the United States.

The IPOB sympathizer disclosed that Americans will finish the troubled police officer when he finally lands in their prison.

He wrote: “One of the Fulani most notorious Jihadists in Nig police that were used to advance jihad in Biafraland called Abba Kyari will finally land in US prison and in California for that matter where they will finish him.

“Any lover of freedom in that prison must know that he is a jihadist”.

Meanwhile, the minister stated that it took time for the federal government to approve Kyari’s extradition to the US because the process is cumbersome and multifaceted.

Kyari is wanted in the United States for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering, and identity theft.

In July 2021, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) indicted Kyari in a $1.1 million fraud involving Hushpuppi, self-confessed international fraudster.

Also, Kyari is currently being detained by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency over an allegation linking him to drug trafficking.
