Nigerian professional footballer, John Ogu has slammed president, Muhammadu Buhari while weighing in on the fuel scarcity across Nigeria.

Naija News understands that for several weeks now, commuters and motorists have been lamenting bitterly as the scarcity of fuel bites harder across the country, from the challenges of growing long queues to tipping fuel attendants.

In a post shared on Twitter, John Ogu expressed displeasure over the lingering fuel scarcity in Nigeria, despite being an oil-producing country.

The super eagle star who is presently in Israel with Hapoel Nof HaGalil, revealed how unhappy he is the way Nigerians have been battling to get to fuel for their various needs.

He also emphasized the hardship and stress the Nigerian government make its citizen go through to get fuel.

“No Fuel for a whole Giant of Africa. The rate on how they let people go through Stress and hardship in that country is just Crazy.” John Ogu said.

Meanwhile, Petroleum marketers, recently asked the Federal Government to bear their losses, while accusing the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited of a deliberate delay in evacuating adulterated petroleum from fuel stations.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) told The Guardian that, due to the delay, there is a deliberate attempt for fueling stations dispensing petrol products to frustrate consumers by creating artificial scarcity through long queues, thereby pushing marketers to run at a loss.

Vice President of IPMAN, Abubakar Shettima added that the delay by consultants who are working to determine the volume of the dirty fuels still in tanks have also pushed most tankers to now divert to Nipco depot to load the right speculation of premium products, adding that the current scarcity would abate before February.
