A suspected ritualist identified as Ebere Nwosu has been arrested by operatives of Bayelsa State Vigilante in Yenagoa, the state capital.

It was gathered that the suspect was apprehended while trying to lure three minors away at Tombia-Etegwe Roundabout.

Nwosu was arrested after been observed of his suspicious interaction with the minors who were selling sachet water.

BSVS operative disclosed that the suspect was engaging the minors in suspicious interaction while making several phone calls.

The operatives after observing for a while, approached the suspect to ask why he held the minors.

Nwosu immediately took to his heels, an action which stirred operatives of BSVS to chase him and he was later apprehended.

The development was confirmed by the Chairman of BSVS, Doubiye Alagba, who noted that they suspected that the minors were not okay and had to confront the suspect.

Alagba said, “When he was approached by our operative, instead of explaining his mission, he took to his heels. Then we realized that he had a sinister motive and gave him a chase. The suspect was caught later by our men.”

Alagba said the suspect had been handed over to the anti-kidnapping unit of the police in the state.
