A video that captured the moment a Nigerian mum reunited with her mentally challenged son, Bamidele, who went missing four years ago, has surfaced on social media.

According to an NGO, South-Westshire Health Trust, Bamidele, before becoming mentally unstable was a four hundred level student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, and was found wandering on the streets looking unkempt and uncared for.

The NGO took him into their facility and has been taking care of him.

Bamidele’s mother and family were tranced after he remembered a bit about them. They were invited to the NGO where she reunited with her son. The mum couldn’t hold back tears as she hugged her son and asked repeatedly if he could remember her.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force said it is currently investigating an alleged attack on the residence of a businessman identified as Adeyemi Olajide.

Naija News understands that the complainant and his family had reported to the police command how some personnel of the Intelligence Response Team invaded his house and kidnapped his fiancee, his siblings and also a neighbour.

Olajide while narrating the incident, told the police command that the uniformed men broke into his house in the Alashe, Igbe-Lara area of Ikorodu at night in an attempt to get him but they ended up abducting his fiancee, Rukayat, and two brothers, Murphy and Oluwaseun as he was able to hide.

According to him, it was about 4:00 am on a Sunday morning in September last year when five armed men invaded his house while they are still sleeping.

Upon entering the compound, the suspected policemen discovered that the apartment was locked. Olajide said the armed men in a desperate attempt to enter the apartment, used strong objects to hit the door and windows, damaging the property in the process.

The Ekiti State indigene said the cops had initially called out his name but he did not respond to their call.

Olajide alleged further that when their efforts to enter the apartment failed, the men, who presented no ID card or search warrant, threatened to shoot through the damaged window.

He said, “At that point, we switched off the light in my apartment and I hid in the ceiling for fear of my life since I was the person they wanted. We initially thought they were armed robbers as they were dressed in plain clothes, but wore bulletproof.

“I watched them through a hole in the ceiling and saw as they used gadgets to shock my brother and fiancée. When they could not find me, they seized the phones of my fiancée, relatives, guests, and took them away alongside my neighbour. They also stole my laptop and power bank as they drove off in a Sienna vehicle.”
