Buhari Appoints Ayodeji Gbeleyi As Federal Mortgage Bank Chairman

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Ayodeji Ariyo Gbeleyi as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Mortgage of Bank of Nigeria (FMBN).

In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, Buhari said the appointment is with immediate effect.

The statement said the appointment of Gbeleyi follows the recent demise of the former chairman of the bank, Chief Adewale Adesoji Adeeyo.

It stated that Gbeleyi was a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, a well-known financial expert and a Chartered Accountant.

The statement added that the new appointee is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a major player in the aviation sector.
