I Apologise For Any Mistake I Have Made In Last Eight Years - Masari

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, on Wednesday noted that the students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, abducted last Friday are in a forest in Zamfara State.

Masari while speaking with BBC Hausa on Wednesday night, said he got information that the students are in Zamfara.

“They are in Zamfara forests, we have gotten the information,” Masari said.

The All Progressives Congress Governor further stated that his government is negotiating with the kidnappers to ensure the release of the abducted students.

“We are negotiating with those that have abducted the students and we want to ensure that we secure their release,” he added.

He, however, dismissed the allegation that the students were abducted by Boko Haram.

The Defence Headquarters on Wednesday also dismissed reports by Boko Haram claiming to have carried out the abduction of students in Kastina State.

Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, in a recording on Tuesday, had said the abduction of the schoolboys was done in order to discourage people from obtaining western education.
