Men of the Nigeria Police Force in Delta State have been captured on camera arresting and harassing youths in their houses.
This was revealed in a video now viral on the microblogging site, Twitter, which shows some patrol vans of the police force with fully armed officers beating and carrying out a mass arrest of youths in the Ughelli community.
According to a social media user identified as @mirabelaokoi who shared the video on Friday noon, “the policemen are going house by house, hotel by hotel arresting any Nigerian youth they can lay there hands on.”
She tweeted, “Happening right now in Ughalli Delta State, @PoliceNG are going house by house, hotel by hotel arresting any Nigerian youth they can lay there hands on.”

Naija News understands that the event may not be unconnected with a recent order issued to the State Commissioner of Police by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to arrest and prosecute the those involved in the killing of a police officer during the #ENDSARS protest in the state.
It could be recalled that the END SARS rally in Ughelli on Thursday, October 8 ended on a fatal note after the death of the officer whose name is later revealed as Cpl. Etaga Stanley.
Also, one Sergeant Patrick Okuone suffered gunshot injuries during the Thursday protest, Naija News understands.
Meanwhile, reports had it that officer Stanley was murdered following brutality on a civilian who was part of the peaceful protest.
