The Lagos state government led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has permitted churches and mosques in the southwest state to resume full services. Naija News reports that the Lagos Governor said mosques can hold their prayers five times daily while churches can also commence weekly services.

2. NCDC Confirms 189 New Cases of Coronavirus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed one-hundred and eighty-nine (189) new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19). The agency made this known in a post on its Twitter page on Saturday night.

3. Lagos Permit Cinemas, Spas and Gyms Reopening

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the reopening of Cinemas, Spas and Gyms in Lagos State. He made this known in a press briefing on Saturday at the State House, Marina.

4. Herdsman Arrested By Amotekun Corps For Destroying Crops Worth N5m In Ondo

South-West security outfit codenamed ‘Operation Amotekun‘ has arrested herdsmen for allegedly destroying crops worth five million naira (N5m). Naija News understands that Adamu Yusuf was apprehended by the Ondo State chapter of the Amotekun Corps in the Oda area of the state.

5. Military Arrests Notorious Sara-Suka Cult Leader, 10 Others In Plateau State

Hussaini Isah believed to be the leader of the ‘Sara-suka’ cult group has been arrested by the Special Military Task Force in Plateau State. The cult group is notorious for terrorizing and killing residents in some parts of the Jos North Local Government Area.

6. Five Bauchi Govt Officials Arrested For Pension Scam, Forgery, Fraud

Fiver local government Pension Board officials have been apprehended in Bauchi State for allegedly involved in condemnable acts which include criminal conspiracy, breach of trust, misappropriation, forgery and fraud. The development was confirmed in a statement on Saturday, September 19 by the spokesman of the State Police Command, DSP Ahmed Wakili.

7. School Building Collapses In Ejigbo Lagos

A school building on Saturday collapsed in Ejigbo area of Lagos State. Naija News reports that the incident occurred at Number 15, Ansarudeen Street, Ile-Epo bus-stop, at about 8.15 am.
