Tension At White House As United States 2020 Presidential Debate Schedule Is Out

The schedule for the 2020 United States presidential debates has been released

Naija News learnt that the Debates sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates are scheduled to take place September 29, October 15, and October 22, 2020.

The shelduled debates ahead of the 2020 United States election is between presidential and vice presidential candidates
The debates will take place from this September and a part of October.

New York Post reports that the incumbent president, Donald Trump, and his challenger, ex-Vice President Joe Biden will have their first of three debates on September 29 in Cleveland, Ohio.ET.

Their running mates, Vice President Mike Pence and California senator, Kamala Harris, will face each other in another debate, October 7. The clash will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Commission on Presidential Debates, which said all debates will run for 90 minutes .

September 29
First presidential debate will be held at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Fox News anchor Chris Wallace will moderate. It will be divided into six segments of approximately 15 minutes each,

The topics will be selected by Mr Wallace, a long-time Fox News anchor known for his memorable TV interviews with Mr Trump, and will be announced one week before the debate.

October 7
The vice presidential debate will be held at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. USA Today’s Washington bureau chief Susan Page will moderate.

October 15
Second presidential debate will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida. Steve Scully, senior executive producer and political editor of C-SPAN Networks, will moderate.

October 22
The third presidential debate will be held at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Kristen Welker, co-anchor of “Weekend Today” and NBC News’ White House correspondent, will moderate.
