#RevolutionNow: Shehu Sanni Condemns Clampdown on Protesters (Photos)

Immediate past Senator who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th Senate, Shehu Sani have reacted to the clampdown of peaceful protesters by security operatives in Abuja, the federal capital.

Recall that the convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, on Tuesday announced the Nigerians would match against corruption, killing and increase in the poverty rate in the country.

The protesters under the aegis of the RevolutionNow movement had converged at the Unity Fountain in Abuja to protest against the continued killings in some parts of the country.

Information gathered revealed that the protesters were rounded up by armed security agencies, purportedly action on orders from above and subjected them to inhumane treatment.

However, while reacting to the development, Shehu Sanni stated that the Protesters should be treated and handled with civility in the spirit of liberty,right to freedom of expression and assembly as provided and guaranteed by the constitution of our country.
