#RevolutionNow: DSS releases 11 Protesters In Osun

The Department for Security Services (DSS) has release some  #RevolutionNow protesters who were  arrested  in Osogbo, capital of Osun on thursday,1st of October, 2020.

Naija News understands that the #RevolutionNow protesters took to the streets of Osogbo to protest the hike in petroleum and electricity tariffs. They demanded reversal of petrol and electricity hikes.

They converged on Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Old Garage, Osogbo as early as 9 am before they were dispersed. About 20 of them were arrested and beaten at the scene. Other protesters ran to escape arrest.

However, Naija News  learnt eleven of the youths were released on their way to DSS State Command, Osogbo at Aregbe area on Gbongan/Ibadan road. They alleged operatives of Department of State Security (DSS) also threatened them to discontinue the protest.

Meanwhile in another recent development, Outspoken On-Air-Personality, Daddy Freeze has added his voice to that of other Nigerians condemning the comparison made by President Muhammadu Buhari of petrol price in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

The controversial media personality in a reaction via a post on his Twitter page on Thursday stated that it would be nice if the minimum wage in Saudi was put into consideration before petrol price comparisons could also be made.
