Presidential Tribunal: INEC Closes Case Against Peter Obi

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the appointment of Nick Dazang as its new Director of Voter Education and Publicity.

Dazang replaces Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi who proceeds on retirement after successful service

Similarly, Andy Ezeani has also been appointed as Director, Publicity. He takes over from Mr Aliyu Bello who is now the Administrative Secretary, Gombe State.

Meanwhile, it will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has advised political parties in Edo and Ondo State to adopt social media for political campaigns ahead of the forthcoming elections.

The electoral body said;  “We, therefore, expect candidates and political parties to utilise the conventional media, the social media and other creative means of information dissemination in their campaigns and rallies.”

“Political parties should, therefore, find a balance between the orthodox means of rallies and campaigns and the new realities of face masks, social and physical distancing and handwashing and hand sanitizers.”

The two states will be holding governorship elections later in the year.
