The administration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has suffered another major blow as the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde, has resigned his appointment.
Naija News understands that the SSG tendered his resignation letter on Monday morning.
He however refused to give any reason for quitting the administration of Governor Akeredolu.
Abegunde confirmed that he has quit the Ondo State Government in a telephone chat with The Nation.
“I have left Akeredolu’s government through a resignation letter effective today,” he stated.
Abegunde said he would reveal more details on his resignation in a press conference later today.
Naija News reports that Akeredolu’s Deputy, Ajayi Agboola, had earlier dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pitched his tent with the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
