Despite the disturbing number of deaths and recorded cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic reported in Nigeria, some states in the country have seemed to be overcoming the battle against the novel virus as fewer cases are recorded in the regions.

About twelve states in the country are currently with less than twenty cases of the killer virus on admission, as at Thursday, June 11, 2020, Naija News understands.

Recall that first index case of Coronavirus in Nigeria was reported on 27th February 2020 in Lagos State.

The dreadful disease since its outbreak in January in Wuhan, China, has as well claimed thousands of human lives and millions of cases has been recorded across the countries of the world.

Nigeria which is not left out in the battle against the viral disease has also recorded a total of 14,554 confirmed cases of the COVID-19, as at Thursday, June 2020 as reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

See below states with less than 20 cases of Coronavirus presently on admission.

Sokoto – 12, Zamfara – 0, Ondo – 14, Osun – 6, Kebbi – 13, Niger – 19, Adamawa – 4, Bayelsa – 9, Ekiti – 10, Taraba – 8, Benue – 12, Kogi – 3.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari in a recent statement while warning against relaxing in the fight against the pandemic has warned that despite thousands of cases of COVID-19 already recorded in Nigeria, the pandemic is yet to reach its peak.

Citizens are therefore advised to strictly adhere to guidelines by the government and the health agencies in their daily activities and religious gatherings as Churches and Mosques again reopens.
